Farmland, pastureland, woodland, aquaculture, horse farms, nursery and vineyards are all among the accepted land uses. Your land must be in Maryland and meet one of the following conditions:

• Be currently assessed for Maryland Agricultural Use, as defined by the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation (includes farmland, aquaculture, horse farms, woodland, etc.), or
• Be currently enrolled in one or more state, federal or private agricultural programs, or
• Be currently zoned for agricultural use (includes farmland, aquaculture, horse farm, woodland, greenhouse, nursery, livestock, pasture etc.).
